Custom Arc Flash Labels Printed From Your Study
Send the arc flash study export and we print one label per piece of equipment: nominal voltage, arc flash boundary, incident energy or PPE category, working distance, equipment ID and the date, in the NFPA 70E layout. Proof back the same business day. Small runs ship the same day, full facilities in 72 hours, no minimum order and no rush fees. Need a few stock labels instead? Those ship today. NFPA 70E arc flash labels, arc flash hazard warning labels and decals for electrical panels, switchgear and MCCs. Or call (602) 649-5305.
Arc flash labels printed from your arc flash study
Custom arc flash labels start with the study. Send the export from SKM, ETAP, EasyPower or an Excel table with one row per bus, and we lay out one label per piece of equipment with the values from that row. No retyping, no averaged values, no generic label on a 4,000 amp switchboard.
- Arc flash label printing service: labels from the study export or an equipment table, for engineering firms, contractors and facility teams
- Arc flash labels for electrical panels, switchgear, MCCs, disconnects and transformers, sized to the gear; the same labels NEC 110.16 asks for on service equipment
- WARNING or DANGER header per ANSI Z535, chosen by the incident energy on each bus
- Durable printed vinyl, laminated for electrical rooms, outdoor gear and wash-down areas
- Proof every label line by line, usually the same business day; small runs ship the same day, full facilities in 72 hours after approval
Engineering firms: send the study for the whole facility and we pack the labels by building, floor or lineup so the field crew is not sorting.
Arc flash label requirements: NFPA 70E and NEC 110.16
NFPA 70E 130.5(H) says the label on equipment likely to need examination, adjustment, servicing or maintenance while energized has to carry: the nominal system voltage, the arc flash boundary, and at least one of the available incident energy with its working distance, the minimum arc rating of clothing, or the site-specific PPE level. Most owners add the equipment ID, the date of the study and the shock boundaries so the label stands on its own.
NEC 110.16 requires a field-applied arc flash warning on switchboards, switchgear, panelboards and motor control centers in other than dwelling units, and 110.16(B) adds a label on service equipment with the nominal voltage, available fault current, clearing time and the date. Check the code cycle your AHJ enforces; the wording moves between editions.
Every custom label we print carries the 70E field set by default. Arc flash warning labels, arc flash hazard labels, arc flash hazard warning labels, NFPA 70E labels, NFPA 70E arc flash labels and the arc flash labels NEC 110.16 calls for are all the same label with different headers, and the study decides the header. Need an arc flash tag rather than a label? We print laminated tags with a tie hole for gear without a flat face.
Stock arc flash stickers and labels, ship today
For a blank panel, a generic warning or a quick fix before the study comes back, stock arc flash labels, stickers and decals ship the same day from the store. Vinyl, from $1.69 each, in the common sizes.
A stock label does not satisfy NFPA 70E 130.5(H) on equipment that has been studied. Once the study is done, the values on the label have to match it.
Reprints after your next study
NFPA 70E calls for the arc flash risk assessment to be reviewed at least every five years, or whenever the system changes enough to move the values. When the study is updated, send the new export and we reprint only the labels that changed, in the same size and layout as the originals.
- Replacement labels after a study update, a utility change or new gear
- Same layout as your existing labels, so the electrical room stays consistent
- One email with the new values is enough to start

Our business has greatly enjoyed working with Mike Bublick and his team at Print Pro AZ. It's so seamless: we send him the plan set, and he sends us back all the stickers and placards we need to pass final inspection. I appreciate Mike's follow-through and expediency on every job we send his way. Couldn't be happier!

The company I work for has been using Print Pro for several years. Mike Bublick has been great at getting us exactly what we need. The engraving on the products has been excellent and Mike has been stellar in having our products turn out better than we'd expected. I highly recommend Print Pro (and Mike) to anyone looking for professional printing, signs and engraving.

... I gave them my electrical plans and highlighted the labels I needed from the drawings and they were very familiar with electrical drawings. I was impressed with how quick they jumped on the order. They had it done and ready to go by the end of the day. ...

This place was fantastic! After ordering from another vendor several times and still didn't have what I needed when I found Print Pro. They made sure I had everything within a couple of hours so I could pass inspection. Thank you!

Send the study. We'll print one label per piece of equipment.
Attach the study export or the equipment table and an account manager lays out the labels and quotes the set, usually the same business day.
Arc flash labels, answered
What has to be on an arc flash label?
What has to be on an arc flash label?
Under NFPA 70E 130.5(H): nominal system voltage, the arc flash boundary, and at least one of the available incident energy with working distance, the minimum arc rating of clothing, or the site-specific PPE level. We add the equipment ID, study date and shock boundaries unless you tell us not to. The arc flash label template post shows a compliant example.
Do you need the full study or just the export?
Do you need the full study or just the export?
Just the label export or the results table, one row per piece of equipment. We do not calculate values; the study does. If you only have the PDF report, send it and we pull the table from it.
What material are the labels?
What material are the labels?
Durable printed vinyl with a laminate over the print, made for electrical rooms, outdoor switchgear and wash-down areas. Ask on the quote if your spec calls for something else.
Do you label the whole facility or just the switchgear?
Do you label the whole facility or just the switchgear?
Whatever the study covers. Switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, MCCs, disconnects, VFDs and transformers all get a label when they appear in the study. We pack by lineup so the crew can label in order.
Can I buy a few stock labels instead?
Can I buy a few stock labels instead?
Yes. Stock arc flash labels ship the same day. They are a generic warning, not a substitute for the studied values once the study exists.
Do you keep my labels on file for reprints?
Do you keep my labels on file for reprints?
Yes. When the study is updated or gear changes, send the new values and we reprint only what changed, in the same layout as the originals.
When is arc flash labeling required?
When is arc flash labeling required?
NEC 110.16 requires the warning on commercial and industrial switchboards, switchgear, panelboards and MCCs, and NFPA 70E requires the studied values on equipment that is worked on while energized. The when is arc flash labeling required post walks through both.
Do you also do nameplates and panel labels for the same job?
Do you also do nameplates and panel labels for the same job?
Yes. Engraved nameplates and placards, wire and cable labels, pipe markers and the rest of the commercial job, packed per site.
